How we collect our e-mail addresses

Corporate Contacts only contains email addresses for individuals at their work place, there are no hotmail, gmail or generic ‘info@’ e-mail addresses in the database. You are allowed to send emails offering business services to business people at their business email addresses, without them opting in to receive these communications.

The Electronic Communications section of the Data Protection Act allows you to send unsolicited emails to business email addresses on business matters only. Corporate Contacts e-mail data is collected via the telephone, usually by carrying out an interview with an individual within the company. Because we have not always obtained the data subject’s agreement in writing we do not claim this is an 'opt-in' e-mail list. Rest assured our method of collection conforms to the Data Protection Act for business e-mail marketing.

If a data subject requests to be removed from your email list, you must remove them and you must not send them e-mail marketing messages again. This is part of the Electronic Communications Act 2000.
